Who we are
The Rankin Dragon (Pogona henrylawsoni) is a small, rare species of lizard native to Queensland, Australia. Closely related to the more common bearded dragon, Rankins are known for their gentle nature, manageable size, and curious personalities, making them a favorite among experienced reptile keepers. However, their limited availability in captivity has led to concerns about inbreeding and genetic diversity within the population.
At RankinDragon.com, our mission is to protect the future of this unique species through education, ethical breeding, and community collaboration. We’re building the first dedicated Rankin Dragon Registry to track lineage, promote responsible breeding, and ensure the health and genetic diversity of captive populations. By connecting breeders, keepers, and enthusiasts, we aim to foster a community that values transparency, welfare, and long-term sustainability. Through our registry, breeding program, and future sanctuary, we’re working to ensure that Rankin Dragons thrive for generations to come.
